Sharpening the 3 blade VPA Broadheads
« on: April 22, 2012, 11:40:00 PM »
Had a lot of requests over the last few weeks about how I sharpen the 3 blade VPA Broadheads.

So i put together a short video showing how i get them sharp. I like to keep things "simple" and effective. There are lots of other ways to do it but this is the best for me.

I use a 12" Swiss Single Cut file and a Diamond Jewl Stick.

I like to Run the Broadhead over the file rather then the file over the head as it is easier to keep things flat and flush by elimination a bit of human error. If you have a steady hand then you can run the file across the head, but its just more simple this way.

The Quality of the steel really allows you to get an amazing sharp edge on these heads.

So simple Anyone can get them Sharp.

Can't wait to try all this.  I should have the VPA, the file, and diamond stick waiting for me at the Post Office at week's end.

I use the same process just instead of a file, I use a 360 grit diamond stone.
