Anyone have any experience wearing these with no socks? As in barefoot?

I'd like to get the canoe mocs but don't want to wear socks. I'd hate for them to get stinky/slippery/etc inside after some use.

I don't see a problem with that. I wear Red Wing work boots that are straight leather, no lining, bare feet, all the time, but my feet don't smell, I think it's only me and the queen of England that are like that!! I use those "sneaker balls", and it works out well. Do plan to wear the Arrows bare feet, only when it's warmer.

I'll wear my lace boots with socks always, but I've been eyeing the low top style canoe mocs for around the house/town.  I figure if they'll last forever then the price is justified. It's hot here, so I'd be wearing them as "loafers" or "boat shoes" without socks for a good 8 months out of the year.

you guys ever have trouble with traction? I hunted in moccasins one season -- granted single sole -- and slipped and slided all over the place especially early mornings when there was dew or damp grass. But the terrain was steep and rocky...they were quiet, though.

About to find out! I live north of you, and will be hunting in very similar terrain! Might try the glue/tire crumbs trick! Were your feet dry?The only change I would make in the Bush Boots is make it a full bellows tongue.

They are great mocs, but they are like any other moc, they are slick when you are on a wet surface.

Update! I wore them once, right out of the box, and was surprised at how comfortable they were! They were stiff, but nothing nasty! treated them with some Obenauf's, and wore them again a couple of days later, with even better results! I don't think they will take long to break in despite how thick they are.Just put a layer of tire crumb/contact cement on them, and am waiting for it to dry! Looks like I will have to get myself a pair of Lace Boots as well! Just got off the phone with Paul, and will get the ball rolling on that!

Make sure you give us a report on the tire crumb stuff.  My 3 eye mocs are about 3 weeks old and I try to wear them as much as I can.  So far I love the feel and comfort.  I am constantly amazed at how tiny stuff is that I actually feel through the sole.

Right Pete, I can feel the ground with every step. I love it. You have tremendous feel but nothing to hurt my tenderfeet.
I really do like these moccs,

Update! Bush boots are breaking in very well! They are getting more and more comfortable! The tire crumb sole was a great idea, I wore them the other night in a rain storm, walked on some grassy slopes and traction was very good. Still feel the ground quite well, but the increase in traction makes up for the bit of ground feel you may lose!

So,...I pulled the trigger on a new pair. Got them in 2 weeks.

Here are a few pics if anyone else is thinking about getting a pair. I like them a lot so far.
