Very nice project you finsihed..
Not to interject another thought, but last fall, I hung a piece of scrap carpet up at the cabin, behind my bag target. And out of my 40lb bows, the arrow went in about 10-15"s but was easy to pull out. If I hung another one behind the first, I'd have a winner.
Just a thought vs. the Horse Stall mat..

Do arrows stick or bounce off? If you attach the rubber to the frame, the arrows probably stick. I off set the top of mine by 4inches and the rubber absorbs some of the energy, and the arrows do not stick often. The target stop makes les noise for misses, yep i miss a bun.ch. your carpentry is superior to any of my efforts. Great job

The arrows almost always stick but it's amazing how quickly a 3/4 rubber will slow one of them down!

Nice. I had an old stall mat and when my target in the basement started to let my arrows hit the poured concrete I remembered seeing the stall mat backstop thread. A bit of scrap lumber and I had a whole new and better set up.

Well the backstop weighed about a thousand pounds and proved to be unmovable so I added a larger base and put it on wheels. It's now mobile! It is nice because I can wheel it where I need it and then move it out of the way of sprinklers and such. Thought I'd share the finished project.
