Man does he make art. Their all beautiful.
Thanks for posting pics guy's.

Felix and Tony...........Wow!!!!
Those are amazing examples of Mr.Dye's bows.
The wood is absolutely stunning and the 1 of 1 is well.......1 of 1. Very Nice! I see it was made for steve berger. That's who I sold mine to. I asked him several times if he remembers who he sold it to but no luck.

I still cant believe I sold my Dale Dye T/D.

Your right Felix. I may just do that.
Your bows are so sweet! Thanks for posting pictures.

The previous owner was attacked by a brown bear while elk hunting and he had his Dale Dye T/D with him. He used it for defense. He's holding on to that bow due to the "teeth marks". This Dye was his one piece which he said he can no longer shoot for obvious reasons. Thanks Rich! She's in good hands.

I have not been able to put this bow down. It's just beautiful. I cleaned it up and installed new rug rest and plate. Here she is now..........Philip

Philip - great Dye bow!  Absolutely beautiful.  I agree on the two woods used.

Dale's one piece bows are always nice.  My first Dye bow was the one piece that I posted the photo of.

I am having a riser made now to marry up with a set of limbs I got back from the gent I sold my original Dye to a few years ago.  It doesn't completely fix my poor decision, but at least I will have a Dye again.

Dale gave me the SECOND bow he ever built many years ago. Considering it was only his second attempt at bow building, it was a piece of art. It was very hard for me to believe it was only the second bow the man built. Craftsmanship was SUPERB and it shot very well. Unfortunately, it came out at 78# @ 28". Too heavy for me. A sad story follows. I loaned it to a muscular neighbor guy who seemed to take an interest in bowhunting. He showed me he could handle the poundage. A year or so later I ran into the guy and asked how he liked it. He told me that he loaned it to someone else to try but couldn't remember who he loaned it to. He gave me two names. I contacted both guys. Neither knew what I was talking about. The original neighbor apologized but again told me he couldn't remember. The guy had a drinking problem back then. I assume he sold it for booze money or lost it in a bet. I haven't seen it since. Sad but true. I made it a point to tell Dale to keep his eye out for it so he wouldn't think I sold it but as far as I know, it hasn't been seen since :>(

That's a crazy story and a hard pill to swallow Gene!
I don't know how I would have handled that.

Dale is an amazing bowyer and such a nice man too.
I regret everyday letting my trails end t/d go.

I traded a Winchester rifle with Dale for that bow. For the life of me I still don't know why I let the bow go! I sold it to steve berger back then. Brain fart I guess!!!!!

Recently, I picked up one of Dale's one piece recurves. This model is called "swift medicine". Built 1994.
I was tickled when I saw it and quickly reached out to the seller "thanks Rich" and made a purchase agreement.
We don't see many of Dale's bows in the classifieds.

His bows are simply amazing and the craftsmanship is top shelf in every way. This bow is approaching 20 years old!

I will post pics when I can get the camera from my daughter.
I wonder if there are any Dale Dye owners here who would post pics of their Dye bow?
Would be nice to see some of his amazing bows!

.......Philip

Ps: my old bow had my name on it and like most of Dale's bows had it named.
Mine was named "Ol'sure shot". 60". 55# and 60# limbs, antler tips.......I would love to find her!
Hope you find your bow! I've been attracted more to the hybrids, as I shoot them better; however, Dale's grip cannot be beaten! I have two of his bows, and will not part with them.

Another one of Dale's masterpieces. He just completed this for me. It looks incredible in person. The photo does not do it justice. I think I'm gonna have a twin made as I will have a hard time bringing this to the woods without a backup bow.
