Here's Cindy and I the night she came to camp with her buck. Look at that smile, if she had a gold tooth it'd blind ya    :goldtooth:

Hi, this is Cindy from Gus' computer.  I just wanted to say thanks to everyone.  Thanks to Ron and Greg for a fine shooting bow, I absolutely love it.  Thanks for all the guys at Shrew Haven for sharing the experience with us...that made it really special.

Oh and thanks to Gus, who never doubted for a minute that I could learn to shoot traditional after so many years of shooting a compound.  And for not letting me give up while I perfected the "over the back arrow attack".    ;)  You believing in me helped me believe in myself and have the confidence to finally get my traditional buck!

Ron...is there a TV show about the U.P. ?  Do you know if it airs outside of MI.  I have a tiny Shrewhaven of my own near Escanaba (U.P.) that I hope to retire on and I love to hear about the U.P.

I used to get that U.P. Magazine while it was going...I think it was called Upper Michigan Outdoor Journal.    They stopped coming and I couldn't find them so I am guessing they are no more.

Chuck the TV show is called Discovering and the host is Buck LaVasser. It airs every Monday and covers all hunting and fishing in the U.P.

The good news is now you can watch it on line. Go to  www.wluctv6.com  click on U.P. Sports, then hold your mouse over sports and scroll down to Discovering. From there scroll down to watch Discovering on line.

Also there is a new Magazine on the U.P. Outdoors. Go to  WWW.Godscountrymagazine.com  ...it's FREE

Very awesome! It's great to see that kind of influence for my 10yr old daughter, who killed her first deer this year, with a bow. A yearling doe that was on a soy bean field. She was using a 28#@22 compound, but she shoots it instinctivly. The doe came in and Casey hit it in the heart at 17yds,(not bad for 10!). The doe ran maybe 30yds and died. Her goal is to work her way up to pulling enough weight on a longbow to do the job in a year or two. Thanks for sharing this story!  :clapper:
Just one more step please!
