Barronett Grounder 350 Blind User Questions
« on: May 08, 2012, 08:51:00 PM »
I just purchased this Barrnett blind because my double bull broke and I am waiting on warranty parts. This blind will likely be my backup blind.

I like the size of this blind and the ease of set up but I'm not too keen on the window height. The windows seem a bit on the high side? I am 6' tall and I can shoot over the windows on my knees or sitting in my dbl bull magnum chair. But any target on the small side (turkeys) closer than about 10 yards will be tuff to hit due to window location.

Does anyone that uses this blind regularly have any tips for me to remedy this (close shots). I can't stand to shoot I will hit the top of the blind. A taller chair would work but I can't seem to find any with a 20 to 22" seat height.

A Huntmore chair would work but I can't spend that much at this time. Any tips would be great, thanks Glen

I use a stool that the seat will fold flat when transporting.  It's kind of like a bar stool without a back.  It works great out of the Grounder 350.  My son uses a wooden stool that is the perfect height also.  I think you're going to like this blind.  I sure do!

Walkstool makes a stool 24 inches high and another 30 inches high. They weigh less than 2 pounds.

I use a bungee chord hooked to the bottom edge of the window and to a tent stake in the ground on the window I'm most likely to shoot out of.

I have the exact same problem with the window height/chair height.

The Walkstool that Bill mentioned is a possibility.  My DB Magnum chair is too low.

Window height seems to be the only problem with this blind.
