Never hunted with my Dad,He is not a hunter.
I love to see other families that have the hunting lifestyle. I wish you and you son a safe and enjoyable trip.

I want to thank you all for your heartwarming responses.  We will be hunting with Russell Pond Outfitters in Avery, Idaho.  I hunted there a couple years ago with a buddy of mine and we both came away with bear...I got a 6' Cinnamon at 15 yds. with a Deathwish longbow.  Mike, I will try to put together a story for Stick Talk when I get home.
I've heard it said that Christianity is a crutch.  To me, it's a walking stick to use on the path of life.
