That is a real beauty, Ron and Allen...I think I would have to take a road trip.

The buff hunt sounds awesome...You will certainly be well armed. What will your arrow weights / broadheads be?

Another beauty Allan!  I hope all the training goes well, and I look forward to your sharing of the trip!
Mike -- The Koa on this bow is from the same board as the handle slabs on the custom St. Jude knife you built me to go with two of my other Shrews, so your custom knife will be going "Down Under" with me in July and hopefully will be used to cut up another big buff!  http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=110192;p=2

My arrow will be an Arrow Dynamics Hammerhead Trad with 100 grain brass insert plus 70 grain brass screw-on weight (screws into back of brass insert), aluminum collar, unibushing with g-nock, 4x4" fletch, and fletch wrap. Total weight of arrow -- 600 grains. The weight of the broadhead will be in addition and will depend on which broadhead I choose. The final three choices are the 300 grain VPA Penetrator, the 325 grain VPA 2 blade offset single bevel broadhead, or the 225 grain Tuffhead with 75 or 100 grain steel adapter. So the total weight of arrow with broadhead will be 900 to 925 grains. The velocity will only be 155 fps, give or take a few, but the distance I shot my last buff was only 17 yards, so the arrow won't lose much speed in reaching the target.
