Fenix...hands down.  Get them at Brothers of the Bow website (Wensels) I bought one and loved it, then bought 3 more for my boys for birthday presents.  They all love them also.  If you misplace it, you will go into a panic from the thought of it actually being lost!  For such a small unit they put of an incredible amount of light.....great for blood trailing after dark.

If I can hijack this for a second...what about the same question but with an adustable flood? I've been looking for an affordable one to use as my hog light for at night. I have a mount for one I just need one that I can adjust how wide the flood is depending on the distance I plan to be shooting.
Here ya go.4x light adjusts from flood to spotlight

Here's a youtube review on the RedLine light by NEBO. This guy should have gotten his ducks in a row before he started his review, but such as it is... here it is..

Really like the Mag-Lite XL200. Runs on three AAA's and it works out well because my little Petzl headlamps also run on AAA's.

When something goes bump in the night, I end up with the Surefire in one hand and something a little more powerful in the other.  That said, this excellent tactical light is not the best for long tracking sessions because it gets hot fast and burns out quick . . and (as mentioned) those 123 batteries ain't cheap.

I'll use anything else for the majority of my basic tracking, but when the trail runs thin, the Surefire comes back out.

Two is one . . . One is none.  One to use . . . One to lose.

Thanks to this thread, I just bought my third Fenix.  I just got that LD12 mentioned earlier in the thread.  Wow--a lot of light (115 lumens) for 1-AA, and good longevity (97hrs) on low.  I also have the Brothers of the Bow model and a TK20 with 2-AA's.

Primos ph-6 flashlight is the best light for the money you can buy.  It last forever and is extremely bright.

This is the brightest aa light I've ever seen and they are so cheap in price, you'll end up getting several.  They are actually brighter if you use a rechargeable 3.7V battery.  I have the Surefires but for $5.99 this one can't be beat.  Get extra because if you show one of your buddies, it'll be gone!

Can't add link but search for Cree 7 watt 300 lumen led flashlight.

Fenix along with the rest. Their headlamp is awesome too.

I have a fenix and my wife wanted something to see our dogs at night outside.  After reading this I looked and found a Coleman 500lumes and 265lumes that runs on 6 AA batteries.
This baby is bright and may need one for the truck.
It was $80 but seems well worth it.
Looked at many and compared the lumes = brightness.
To big for pocket but great backpack/truck/house light.

my favorite is a stream light,, not sure the model because its wrapped in hockey tape but its bright..  for walking in and out of the woods in the dark nothing beats the streamlight styless with the 1 LED which I have in green,, doesn't spook deer but can be seen for 2 miles with the cap off or leave the cap on which has a BB size hole in the tip that cannot be seen from  the side but the green circle on the ground can be seen along with your legs when walking so I don't get shot but one of the sound hunters.
