2nd Generation St. Charles Thunderbird
« on: May 20, 2012, 01:12:00 PM »
Anyone own one of these bows? I'd like to get some opinions on the bow such as stability, finish, overall opinion of design, handle shape, riser mass and weight, etc...
Thanks,
Chuck

I have a 53# and a 58# both are awesome. Fast stable quiet. Finish is tru oil so you can spruce it up easily every few years. I like the handle shape-very 50's style. Bow is light in the hand.
Overall design is as good as it gets. IMO

I had one of the originals signed by Glenn.  Like an idiot, I sold it.

have a second generation...shoots great....looks great......mine is a little heavy but will use it for a few more years then either have it lightened up if possible or trade for another...
mine is #dual shelf #70 at 28... very sweet shooter and signed by Glenn St. Charles who we owe a great debt to for his contributions to bowhunting...an Icon

Jay St. Charles is refinishing an original I sent him-a series one that bears an old signature by the Dude himself. I have never shot the bow........Jay has and says it is a shooter. One of these days I'll have some pics to post; and shoot the bow myself.
