Duck,
Get ahold of John Havard from ACS Archery. He had one with us on our hunt in Alaska that was a great tool. We needed on a couple of occasions when weather prevented our pilots from landing.

Bob asked who I used:
Outfitter Satellite
2911 Elm Hill Pike
Nashville TN 37214
877-436-2255 ext 1114
FAX- 615-695-2527
They do have a website.
Watch the costs and probably buy the minutes upfront. Like most have said and what I did was rent an Iridium phone.
Regards,
Bill

Thanks Bill.
I've had a number of recommendations to Outfitter.

I'm a primitive archer all the way down to my cell phone, I don't have one. But I'm glad that my wife and kids do. Take care and good luck huntin' and communicatin'.

Jason is shooting straight. I've rented Globalstar and Iridium and the Iridium was much, much better. Even in Southwest NM I had to climb to a ridge top with no trees around to get a signal on Globalstar. If a call went through it was lucky to last more than 30 seconds. I prepaid for 120 minutes and was lucky to use 30. No such problems with Iridium.
I've rented from Oufitter and Mobalrental.com. Great service from both, better deal on the latter.

Like I said I worked at the Master Control Facility for 4 years. I would still be there but I decided being back here in Ohio near family was more important than the money.
