Things NOT to do with home-made, lovingly created, self-nocked arrows....

Number 1)

DUDE! did that point actually stay there like that? Either you got some heavy duty sinew or you're shooting a girly bow.    :biglaugh:

Nice shooting Tex!

LOL! Thanks Brent...

The point did stick there, just to taunt me! It's Red Deer leg sinew & the bow's a 51# selfbow. The shot was at the full extent of my back yard, about 35yds, which may explain the lack of horsepower!

Beautiful arrows Rob! That is almost painful to see as I know you spent a lot of time making them.  Now the question is do you waste the second one and hang them both on the wall of fame or put it back in your quiver and cry over the lost one....

I'm going to try not to waste either! The hitter is back in the quiver, the hitee is going to get cut short, tapered & a Bohning classic glued on there! I purposely left 'em too long, because I fully expected 'em to split! These were my firstest self nocks & confidence wasn't high!   :goldtooth:

If you keep shootin that good you may want to go to one arrow ata time!!!! I did the same thing to TWO of my carbons in a 24 hour period last week. I couldn't believe that instinctive shooting could be so accurate. I have been  shooting and hunting compounds since the early 70's and had only one robin hood in all those years. Now in a few months of shooting instinctively I had two in a 24 hour period??? I'm HOOKED!!! Beautiful arrows, sorry about your loss.

Hey Rob, might I have had a small part in that, as in the selfbow part???????  Either way, a robin hood with those arrows and a selfbow is COOOOOL!

Since it's not in the center didn't you really just miss the same way twice?  :readit:    :biglaugh:

Hey, at least I'm consistant!  :D

I prefer to 'Pick a spot' after I've hit it. That way I'm never disappointed  :D  :D
