One makes it back home
« on: August 01, 2007, 05:53:00 PM »
Well I owend this bow back in 04. Sold it    :banghead:    and was I sorry about a week later. I never thought I would ever see it again. I WAS WRONG. It came up on the classifieds. The person selling it I will be indebted to for a longtime. I thank you sir. Only on Trad Gang do you find so many great people. The bow is a first generation shrew recurve 55#@28" and the overlay work is why I know it was mine. I had a very good friend do it for me.<><

That's a sweet one Frank - I can see why you've been kicking yourself in the hind end for the past few years!  If you lose your head again like Larry in the other thread here and think about selling it again put me on the list!  :readit:

I was tryin to get that one. If I would have got it it would have ended up with you Frank. I know the feeling. I sold a Dwyer longbow that I always check for whenever I see a Dwyer for sale.

that's cool. I think we need a carfax type registry for trad bows. Where they've been, who has owned them, etc.

Great news, Frank!  I know how you feel. I re-found my original BW limbs (limbs that I used to kill my first trad critter)after several years of separation after parting with them and was able to buy them back.  It was a pretty special reunion and when I got those limbs again and when I got them home, they were home for good.  It's a pretty cool feeling!
