New Knife Sheath
« on: August 01, 2007, 05:54:00 PM »
My old Scharade Sharp Finger knife sheath had developed a hole in it a couple of years ago and since you guys have inspired me with your build alongs I decided to try my leather crafting skills again after a 20 year layoff. Here are the results.

My first attempt went south on me when I messed the basket weave up, I went ahead and finished it with rivets and when I stuck my kife in the wet sheath to form it I cut right through it. I have always wanted one with rawhide lacing so I started the new and improved one the same day. I didn't get the rawhide quite as tight as it needed to be but it is pretty tight and I think it will workout alright anyway. This has inspired me to try something else soon.

Thanks guys!!
