Velcro here too. Pretty tough, easy and cheap to replace.

I've recently put some adhesive-backed leather on mine. It seems to work well and I get a pretty smooth release.

bear hair or Martin rug rest.

I don't like velcro because if you have any sharp points on the tip of your fletch it wants to snag in the loops.

I prefer 1/8" thick velcro for my shelf and also for my side strike plate.

I use mole skin. Its very thin and on Hill bows it gets the bow a little closer to center shot.

I use the felt pads that you put under living room furniture that's on hardwood floors so they wont get scuffed up. I stuck a broken off toothpick under it to elevate it in the middle so it wouldn't be so flat. Works for me and cheap.
