Accusharp

Who else uses the Accusharp by Magnus? Pro's and con's? I just used one on a VPA 2-blade that I've been shooting into foam ,dirt, etc. all year. It had it shaving hair in just a few swipes.

I use it.  To me it's a great sharpening tool.  Easy to use, and puts a razor edge on a blade.  It's hard to beat that!

For some reason when I use mine it doesn't seem to get my heads as sharp as if I had used a stone...I think I may be doing something wrong. Maybe pressing too hard?

Accusharp works wonderfully on my 160gr. ACE Standard broadheads.

I use a a similiar version, the Redi Edge.  I usually start with a mill bastard file and finish it off with this little tool.  Works great on Magnus stingers and easy to carry along.

Yup.  Posted a bit on it recently- regards to my difficulty with New Grizzlies, KME, and my return to Accusharp with my Magnus heads.

I would rather sharpen a good quality knife on the KME.  But for broadheads?  I am (re)settled- Accusharp!  Quick and a few strops = shaving sharp

Interesting thread. In researching the Accusharp I'm wondering if you are using the Accusharp knife or the broadhead sharpener?
Awaiting your replies...   :coffee:
Thanks.

How do you think this stacks up to the Accusharp knife sharpener you guys are currently using. If I'm reading the description correctly the Broadhead sharpener has ceramic sticks built in. Thoughts?
 http://www.accusharp.com/products/013/index.html

Also, would the knife sharpener work with a head such as the 4 blade Magnus Stinger? How about a 3 blade Snuffer?
Thanks.
Kevin
