Snuffer SS 125 questions
«

I just received 2 packs of Magnus Snuffer SS 125 grain heads. They promote a 1 1/8" cutting diameter, but I measured and the distance between the blades is less than 1 inch. Does anyone know how the diameter is figured with 3 blade heads?
Here is a crappy cell phone picture of a cut through paper. Also has anyone used the SS Snuffers?
Thanks,
Scott

Scott... like any other broadhead, the SS Snuffer will do the job if put in the right place. Having said that, I think they are too small for my tastes.
I like the low shear angle of a Woodsman in a 3 blade. The SS Snuffer is not only small, but "choppy" as well.

Scott,
You have to figure cutting diameter since the blades are 120 deg. apart. The easyest way is to draw a 1-1/8" circle and see how close the blades are to it after pushing it through the paper.

I've shot a number of deer with the Snuffer SS broadheads, a very fine broadhead in my opinion. Quick kills in every case, and good blood trails.

I would imagine when you draw a circle tangent to three points, that would be the diameter. Try sketching a circle around that triangle and measure across the center of the circle.

Thanks I called Magnus and was told the cutting diameter was 1 1/16", it was mismarked on their website.
Oh well, I will give them a try, but I will have some Zephyr Sasquatch's in my quiver.
