Beautiful bow!
You probably know this, but since you said it was your first selfbow...
1. String it just before your shooting session starts, and unstrung it soon after you finish. This will help keep it from taking on unnecessary "set," that robs power from the bow.
2. DO NOT let someone with a longer draw length than you pull the bow, unless one of YOUR cut-to-length arrows is on the string. They could damage or break it for you! Your normal draw length is the maximum "work" line for your bow.
There are a few more fine points, but these are the main two that came to mind. Selfbows are WONDERFUL weapons. They just require a l-i-t-t-l-e more care and though than their fiberglass and epoxy counterparts...
Enjoy, congratulations, and thanks!
