I am almost up on the list for a 2 piece longbow.  Wanting Macassar Ebony for the limbs veneer.  What goes with it?

I have a Morrison ILF Riser with Macassar Ebony in it, looks great.  Dont know anything about how it would hold up in limbs, but it would sure look great!!!

I love an all Macassar longbow, but a dark cocobola looks fantastic as well.  I had a macassar limb veneer with zebra riser that was very nice as well.  A piece of dark myrtle burl would be fantastic too.  Way to go now I need a couple more bows!

Congrats on the bow and great choice in limb veneers (I love a dark bow)!

I have 2 recurves with Macassar veneers,I like them and I think they are a good hunting color.
They are on the dark side but i rather hunt with a darker limb than a too light colored one.

My hill country wildcat is macassar riser with cocobolo insert and macassar veneers.  The cocobolo really looks nice alongside that ebony.

I have a Habu that is all Macassar, and an Eagle Wing Talon that has a Macassar riser with tiger wood limb laminations. Both look very good to my eye.

Beautiful Macassar Tall Tines...

Just keep in mind that Brian does not waste his talent on ugly bows or does he artistically widdle alluring beauty into all his bows.

Macassar is one of the most beautiful woods out there IMO

Good luck and can't wait to see photos.

Wow.  Those are some good looking bows.  The contrast in the macassar ebony might make me choose to go the one wood route.

I think a good piece of bocote looks great with macasser.

Bacote!  I've got an older Habu recurve that is maccaser ebony in the riser and Bacote for limb veneers. Despite all the scratches in it from hunting it like a dog I still get compliments on how beautiful it is.

Have a Rose Oak King Panther with Macassar Ebony veneers and burnt orange cocobolo riser.  Looks sharp.

Tulipwood.
