Bonded with a Shrew

Well after I wrecked my harley and broke my shoulder blade and ribs on my left side it has been a long summer. I had just gotten a new to me Shrew and shot it about ten times or so. After lots of therapy and you know the rest I finnally got the ok to try and shoot my bow. I picked up my Shrew after streatcing my muscles some, drew it back and it was a beautiful sight. Fletching flying true as can be right to the spot. At 15 yards I missed by about 3 inches. Not shabby for a long rest, and a lot of luck. It just felt soooo god to loose an arrow again. The Shrew seems to point natural for me and when I get all my strength back I will try to tune some shafts in. I have wagers betting I won't be able to bowhunt this year and I am going to win them. LOL One of the first things I thought of after the crash was when I would be able to shoot again. I am happy to be back. Out Door Dan

Man am I happy for you cause I know exactly how you feel right now. just dont rush it my friend. I wanna hear from you when you kill somethin with that bow.

Be careful not to let the thrill of what you're feeling "get" to you. I can imagine feeling so good, and the bow so smooth and easy, that suddenly you realize you've shot 150 arrows. The next day could bring a setback from too-much-too-soon that takes a long time to get past.
I'm so glad you can shoot again, and that you're loving the bow. Hope everything keeps going really well for you!
