Top to Bottom:
Early '60s Red Wing Hunter(not sure of exact year) 58" 53#

'69 Super Kodiak, 60" 70#

Early '70s Black Bear 60" 35#(My first recurve: belonged to my late uncle)

The Red Wing Hunter is my main hunting bow.  The Super Kodiak shoots great, it's just a little heavy draw for my liking.  Last year was my first year hunting with traditional gear and I wasn't able to get a shot at a deer.  Hoping for better luck in October.

Before I get any comments, let me explain the lime green silencers.  I broke my only string for the Red Wing Hunter during bow season(don't ever have an "only" string by the way), and I had the lime green left over from one of the black/brown/lime green camo silencer kits.  So they got tied on and I finished the season out with it.

This deer season hunting with my Habu...plain brown Habu, base model in 1999.

This turkey season was my Robertson Fatal Styk...fanciest bow I own.

Last deer season it was my very first recurve as an adult...my Jeffery Royal Hunter....basic laminated maple riser and I put snake skins on limbs myself.

last turkey season was my John Strunk vine maple...once again plain with his basic leather grip....second from top in picture.

Shedrock, Brock:  Don't you guys know that you can't do what you're doing (shoot good, kill a lot of critters) unless you stick to one bow.   :bigsmyl:          Congrats.

Ordered new from Windauer in 2003.  Been shooting it solely ever since.  54# at 28 inch 62 inch long Shafer Silvertip.  Rosewood stained dymond wood riser.  Checkered grip and antler knobs.  Got the small boa quiver on it that holds 4 arrows.  When I ordered I said not too concerned with what it looks like I just want the most stable and dead in the hand bow you can make me.  He delivered.  Many critters have recieved an arrow from this bow since then.  When it arrived it would have been pretty to everyone else.  Now it is pretty to me.  Lots of battle scars and scratches on it from days in the woods.  Probably wouldn't bring $250 in the classifieds.

I do though...one bow per hunting season   :)     :)

I like to bloody every bow I own....now I am trying to get a deer with every bow I own except the Brownings and the Joe Mattingly osage at top in picture.

I have a plain Montana Falcon I finally found....too but not hunted with it yet.

Here are a couple better pictures but none in the woods or with animals.  So far it's only taken small game.  I've had it quite a while now but always shot it for fun and hunted with a compound.  This year will be the year the compound stays home for good.  It's my only trad bow...50lb Sarrells Sierra and bison fur back quiver.  During deer season the ermine will be flipped to the inside so I'm not mistaken for a whitetail and shot.

1pc and 2pc Sarrels Sierra Mountain Longbows - both 53.5lbs @ 29"
