What Carbon Arrows to Shoot
« on: August 03, 2007, 08:35:00 AM »
Hello everyone,
I just purchased a Hoyt Tiburon, it is 50lbs @28, What Carbon arrow do you think would work for this set up. I was thinking easton axis 500 with about 225 would do it.
Thanks,
Josh

Josh,
An axis 500 will probably shoot well for you.  Don't know what your draw length is, but I doubt you will need that much weight up front unless you cut them shorter.  I would suggest starting with a full lenth axis 500 and 125gr up front.  Beman MFX Classic 500's will shoot the same and give you a heavier arrow, also a Carbon Express Heritage 150 would probably fly well.  Bottom line you will have to experiment and see which works best at the length and weight up front you want.  I think you're in the right ballpark on the spine with the 500's or 150's(C.E.).
