bow ordered. d or r/d?
« on: June 24, 2012, 02:33:00 PM »
i have a bow ordered from bamabows.

nate is very patient, as i vacillate between his straight bow and his radically reflex/deflex expi.

i only draw 25", so am looking at the 64" hunter and the 58" expi.

any help appreciated, and not limited to bamabows.

d vs. r/d general thoughts solicited as well.

thanks.

joe

I have both in Bamabows. I have a 64 inch Elite Classic and a 58 inch Royal Expedition. Both are 50@28. The Expedition is a little more snappier in the shot than the Elite and seems to make the arrow hit the target harder. I shoot both equally as well and tend to favor the Elite, due to being a "D" shaped American Flatbow. You can't go wrong with either bows. After being in Nate's shop last week has got me in the mood for my next longbow. Especially after what Nate showed me.

Buy one of each and keep the one you like best. It's the only way you will know which one is most suited for yourself. Maybe you can work out a deal with him where you can send back the one you like the least.... just a thought.

Bet money Nate can't make a bad bow! Either is a homerun!

Hard to explain. My r/d Robertson rarely gets shot & it's a stunner! If my "D" bows were horses, they'd be beautiful Belgians!

I'm a fan of D bows so that's what I'd do.

r/d will be faster.  that being said I do like d shaped as well. Something about them and I would love to buy one eventually.  but if I had to pick or a hunter it would be r/d no doubt
