Congrats on the tag Joey!  Gators are cool, and totally different than some old bird you might chase.
With mine I just had the hide tanned and plan to use it on some leather projects.  Quiver, knife sheaths, etc.  I also had the skull done as a euro mount.  I'll get a pick and post it.

Mine was just a little guy (6 1/2') but I still think he looks cool.  A bigger one would certainly make more of an impression.

The belly leather is thin and should make for some great project material.  Haven't figured out what I might do with the back leather.  Would probably look good hanging on the wall kind of like a bear skin.
You can have it tanned in a number of different colors/shades.

Joey, you'd better check, I think Lennie told me gator mounts were $100 per foot!

Biggie is right, gator mounts are EXPENSIVE!

I like the tanned hides just as well as a "rug" for draping over a couch or tacking to the wall.  The euro skull is the way to go in my mind.

Living in Fl you would think that I would have killed a gator or two, but I never have.  The one hunt I did was a bust.  I was way too picky and passed on many many 7 and under gators looking for an 8 or better.

My life size hog was $400 a foot!

I am thinking a 13' hide hanging on the wall of a 18 , vaulted ceiling..   Skull in or out?   Seen some crocs with head skinned out.

A buddy of mine euro mounts the skulls and sells the rest of the gator to off set hunt costs.  He goes every year though.

Here is mine! This is a euro mount off an 11'1", 390#'er.

The pics do not do these euro mounts justice. They are AWESOME looking in person.

I have the belly skin in my freezer and need to send it to the tannery. i am going to do the rug thing like Gregg said above.

You mean a 9'er doesn't weigh 900#s like on Swamp People!

Could have shot these two big boys out of the kayak this morning.  The first one made my 10' yak feel small.

Like this reflection shot:

Awww man, y'all're all getting my juices flowing for September! I'm hoping to cross a gator off my bucket list this year.

I don't know, guess growing up around them and grabbing the smaller ones for fun, I have zero desire to shoot one. It's kind of like shooting the park ducks and squirrels. LOL
