Mae-Mae had her last softball game of the season early, then Cade had his first All-star game of the season last Saturday at noon.
I'd gone out for a short run at daybreak, so with a bit of time before Mae-Mae's game I grabbed my Kempf Raven "Bonita" to shoot a couple arrows.
Went back to about 22-25yds(I never shoot marked distance at home) and shot my first arrow....looked perfect...
Then I shot 2 more that were a bit off but not bad.
Drew back my fourth and last arrow...released...and immediately saw my nock fly and heard a very strange sound.....
As I approached the target, I could see my last arrow had hardly penetrated and my first arrow that I knew was right there had disappeared...
After 28 yrs. of trad shooting I'd shot a robin hood! I don't shoot for groups too often and hate ruining arrows. I've probably shot hundreds of nocks off in that time.
Now normally I'd be ticked that I ruined a good arrow...but it's fact of "where" the arrows were in the target that made it a little easier....

The two shots really couldn't have been more "on the money", so I can live with it
