New guy looking for suggestions on riser/limbs
« on: June 30, 2012, 03:37:00 PM »
Looking to get into trad and has been 30 years since I thought seriously about archery. A local archer took the time to meet with me and let me shoot one of his bows to help me with some buying decisions. Want to say thanks to Rusty.
My question: Have a 26.5" draw and want around a 45#@28. Looking at a Morrison 15" riser and perhaps TT Blackmax limbs. Don't want to invest the farm on limbs until I am sure what I might like. Like the looks of the Morrison and any input into this combination would be appreciated.

Sounds like a great combination. Wood or metal riser?

Looking at wood. Not sure if 58" or 60" limbs would be best...Perhaps, I should talk with Morrison...

Will talk to Bob this week. There have been some posts in "search" about TT limbs being higher then advertised poundage on Morrison limbs. Will check it out as well. May be just the carbon limbs. Rusty thanks again for all the help. Also, thank Jarrod for the use of his bow to try. You have a well mannered son and I enjoyed meeting him as well. Seems like I have so much to learn and so much has changed in 30 years. Yikes, I am old !!!!
