I love Bacote as well, I have a few, your bows are beautiful and I hope to one day shoot a few. I've never shot a 3 piece longbow but understand there are many good ones. Those that have them seem to be a pretty confident bunch. I am truely interested in them.

Very nice Bocote, who is the bowyer of this model. Is it a Recurve, or a Longbow. It looks like a mild recurve. And what is the bows length very nice looking bow and I bet it shoots good also.

Bigfoot sasquatch "longbow"
It's a 60"
It does string up with the string touching the limbs a bit though like a recurve.
It did shoot nice.
Ended up a little short and too much weight for me..sold it here in the classys.

That one of your's with the dark bocote that went to ohio looks great Chad.
I really like the looks of dark bocote.

That one you made really has the right look.
I was lucky enough to shoot one of your pass around bows.

You make a very fine shooting bow Sir.
I bet the owner of that bow you built smiles every time he touches it..    :bigsmyl:

Hey John, You forgot to tell the guys that this Bocote on the Sas above has an Amber tint to the sealer that darkens it up a bit.....

It was great chatting with you on the phone the other day Chad. I'll look forward to some more communication in the future and swap some more adventures.

You sound like a man with a passion for the trade. looking forward to seeing more of your bows in the future.... Good stuff bro!

Kirk, Chad and I are talking about another Life Ender. He built me a beautiful Judge that is smooth as silk, but that Life Ender just has a bit more "snap" to it. I've owned quite a few of Chad's bows and he does nice work, but I REALLY like that tinted sealer you put on the bocotte. Gives it such a warm glow. Next time you're talking to Chad try to get him interested in that idea  :)

Those are beautiful. I'm a sucker for Bacote.  I like it even more a year after the bow has been built and it has had time to darken up a bit.

Hey Chad!  That one by the tree and the snow covered deck is my bow!  Still the smoothest, quietest bow in my fleet!.  Keep up the great work!

I only have a splash of bocote in my riser, but I do love it!

(Yes, my bocote fang does bear a striking resemblance to the piece missing from that riser in John's pic above)

I wish I had some of that curvy stuff for my knife handle!!!
