Goodbye glove, Hello tab.

After many yrs of shooting with gloves im going to try a good quality tab. Seems it doesnt take long before a glove is grooved so bad that a good release is near impossible. Id like to hear from the tab shooters out there, on their choice of tabs.
Thanks Paul

Moleman,
I have been a confirmed tab shooter for many years. Until last year my favorite tab was a Can't Pinch Calf Hair tab. Then I found the Black and Red tabs sold by Black Widow - best by far. I have three, two cut to fit my fingers and shooting style and one in the package yet. Not that I need another one because the first one is still quite serviceable after more than a year of shooting thousands of shots.

I'm currently using the Cavalier Ultra Lite and Elite tabs. Best tabs I've used yet IMHO.

I shoot a Bateman cordovan or a Saunders plastic Nam or Pac tab. The Bateman is my #1; still as slick as day one and impossible to groove. The Saunders is bulletproof and great for bowfishing or in the rain, but it is plastic.

Cordovan from 3 Rivers. Been shooting with a tab for almost 30 years.
What I like about a tab is no break in time, just grab a new one and a few arrows it's set to go.

Currently in transition myself...I've gone from a Dura-Glove to a BW 3 under...
I was starting to have finger pain when I shot, that has now disappeared with the BW Tab...couldn't be happier.

I shot with a calf hair tab for many years and decided to try a Dura glove. A nerve in my middle finger started bothering me after several months of shooting, so I switched to a cordovan tab from 3Rivers. Problem solved. I'm sure there are numerous good tabs available, but a good cordovan tab is the ticket for me.

There are many good tabs on the market. A tab made from cordovan seems to be the best. I shoot much better with a tab than a glove.

Bateman, the original cordovan tab, there is no other, split for me. You won't regret the switch, I did it about a year ago after shooting a glove since 1957, and never looked back.
Good luck.

I've been shooting a glove for more than 50 years. Dabbled with tabs over the years, but never could find one I liked. Just didn't feel comfortable. Couple of friends got me to try a Black Widow tab about a month ago. First tab I've ever been able to shoot. Don't know if I'll give up the glove completely, but for me, for now, its a BW calf hair tab -- split finger.
