Not to be the bad guy... but TradGang rules don't allow links to other forums.

Have to say its been a while since I've read the rules, evidently too long.
But curious,,,suppose why wouldnt they allow them ? this is a great site with mountains of info to share.
Never the less its someone elses site so I guess the can do as they wish.

It's not the fact that the bow's weight is marked at 28 inches that's giving him trouble. Depending on the initial bow weight, it will gain 2-3# for every inch over 28 inches that it's drawn -- 5-9# in your buddy's case. Too much draw weight is likely the problem. Or a bow that's too short. A long draw with a short bow greatly increases the string angle on the drawing hand, increasing finger pinch and making it harder to get a clean release, particularly for split finger shooters.

Thaks for the input Orion, I dont personaly know him, he just posted the question in the trad section of a site I hang out on.
I told him about the added pounds per inch but didnt think to tell him the weight mite be the issue over the length, since hes just off the compound wagon he mite be dealing with learning curve, I'll send him word.
Thanks for the food for thought.
