4 fletch =nock high?

It did for me today. I was paper tuning today and no matter what I tried 4 fletch arrows were kicking nock high. I couldn't figure out what was going on until i grabbed an arrow with three fletch and all was well. Suspect arrows were Gold Tips, one had 4" feathers the other 5" didn't seem to matter. Anyone seen this before?

Sunds like one of your four fletches is hitting the riser shelf on release, kicking the tail of the arrow up. Turn the nock a little to get better fletching clearance.

Brad,
How did your bare shafts fly? I am in the middle of tuning my bow and had nock down flight. I have a limb bolt bow quiver. When I took it off, the nock down flight abated a bit. There are many things to look at. I need to try a wrap on or slide on quiver. You really need to see how a bare shaft flys.

Thats what i figure as well. Will play more in the future, but multiple arrows were doing it we'll see.

I'm not a fan of bare shaft tuning, always found paper tuning quicker and easier. Shameless plug, I've got a nice thunderhorn wrap on quiver in the classifieds cheap.

What are the feather angles for the 4 fletched? I shoot the 75x105 with the 105 up and down. I get great flight and better than 3 fletch for clearance.

I had the same issue with 4-90 not long ago with a new bow, which made me break down my setup and start from scratch. Your arrows spine is the issue. The spines on your current length arrows are just barely in that bows range. To properly fix it you will need to make them either longer or shorter or add or take away point weight. Mine went 1/2" longer and the 4-90's flew perfect. If its way out you may need different spined shafts.
When your spine is correct it won't matter what fletch configuration you use they will all clear your riser properly.
You are 30 minutes from me. I think you should drive down and we could tinker with it together. Always enjoy meeting my trad Brothers.
