zebrawood limb veneers
« on: July 09, 2012, 08:30:00 PM »
Let's see some pics of your zebrawood limb veneers.  I think I'm ready to take a plunge on a set of these, just looking for some pics.  My bow has a zircote riser and I think the right zebrawood will really set it off.  Thanks...Mike

This isn't Zebra and hope you don't mind but just wanted to show what a lighter color looks like with it... This is Olive Ash Burl with a Zircote riser and Moose horn overlays and moose antler stippling and I call her my "Chocolate Moose" It's a little Hoots recurve made by the great "Charles Lee Hoots"...Bowyer,Carpenter and Chicken Egg picker upper....    :D

Here some before and after pics.                                                                                                                                                                                                               Zebra should look great with Zircote.

This one is hard to see, but it's light zebra pattern.

Thanks for the pics, keep them coming!!!  I'm really trying to decide between the straigher grained wood vs the arched grain like in Troy's pictures.  I wish there was a way to see exactly what they'd look like on my riser.  Thanks again, fellas...Mike

I've been so busy shooting my bow, I haven't even posted pictures of it since the day I got it!

Here were my raw veneers:

Here is my bow right after it came out of the package:

I love the look of the zebra under an amber seal!

Nice pics.  There are also a lot of good pics of Zebra risers and lams on the Zipper website - just dig around some on there.
