On the third one I found what looked to be 5 longbeard gobblers hanging out. Unfortunately they spotted me about the same time. No way I could even think of taking the 60 or so yard shot. They didn't hang out long with the intruder showing up in their protective little hideout and were gone.
Disappointed, but thrilled that my plan was working, I moved on to the others. I took this photo of Faith getting ready to check the next hollow after I bumped the gobblers. I put her down and nearly lost her! Love the colors on this bow.
Here are a couple of photos of the "typical" areas we hunt on top of the mountain here. It is beautiful country as far as mountain land goes.
Headed to a portion of the lease we call Little Sutherland. Faith found another nice rub to have her picture taken with. I hunted this area hard this deer season and bumped the buck I'm pretty sure made this rub on day 4 of a 5 day hunt here. Got a little too anxious and made a not-so-smart move.
As I was leaving, I took one last photo of some mistletoe.
As I said, today is my last day with Faith. I feel honored to have been able to spend some time with her. She is a fine bow. Wanted, again, to congratulate Rob on sealing the deal today. Also, I wanted to thank Terry, Rob, Curt and all the others that work so hard to make tradgang such a great place...and thanks, again, to Hill Country for this year's bows.
