I agree Butch. Allen makes a very fine bow. The Contender would be my choice...it IS my choice.
Isaiah 49:2...he made me a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.

66" Great Northern Critter Gitter with bamboo. The GN's are the standard I measure how a bow should shoot now  :)

I am getting ready to order a lil' creep now w/ jackknife.

It's my Big River, for me.
Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

I also like the look of a Maddog longbow, because its basically just like a Longhunter with a little more R/D

I shot "a lot" of these mild r/d bows. By far the best has been the Northern Mist Superior.

So, I wanted to throw in my Bamboo backed hickory longbow with a cocobolo handle by a fellow name Eric Todd.  It has been a great bow, with well over 10,000 shots through it I would imagine.  He's turned out to be quite the friend, and a superb craftsman/bowyer.

Tops Eric!

I like the Mohawks also. (a blast from the past) I thought the Howatt/Martin ML-18 Bushmaster was a good solid bow.
