Missed some, brought some home. Nothing wounded, I seem pretty consistant. Either I bring em home, or end up shaking my head in wonder. Generally try not to dwell on the missed shots, but I do vividly remember the night I was going to get my 1st double. Pin-wheeled the 1st doe at 18 yards, then being the champ I am, flat missed the second doe 15 min. later at 7 yards. Go figure!!!!

killed a 7 pt at 12 yards, a doe at 22, pig at about 8 yds and had a doe come in down wind and string jumped me pretty bad at 15 yds ( a miss is a miss) she had winded me and was tryin to ease out of there... that was with my longbow, we have another Month and a half left and I have a tag left and will try and finish out with my recurve.

Yes, I missed a doe at 18 yards.  I simply peeked at the shot and shot high over her back.  I did take 2 very nice bucks and another doe, so all was not lost.  Those misses seem to stay with me longer though :-)

I had a 15 yard shot at a doe when I was hunting with the Little Delta Bow.  I was in my blind and the top limb hit the top of the blind and nearly jerked the bow out of my hand.  Thought I'd torn the top out of the blind.

I watched my bamboo arrow sail about 2" over her back and she jumped and stopped again at 20 yards.  I didn't take another shot, she had won that round.

I had a good year for me. One Doe at 10 yards. One Doe at 12 yards and a 7 pointer at around 28 yards. All were quick and clean kills. I did miss a button buck at 5 yards. Right over his little back.

I miss some every year. This year I even had a witness for one - a 12 yard shot at a basket 8 pt management deer. Timing shot on him walking with Troy looking over my shoulder, shot right in front of him.

Early in the season I watched many deer pass anywhere from 4-30 yds.  I had a very large 8 point  stand less than 10 yds away hidden behind a small cedar, spooked him while reaching for my bow.  I enjoyed just sitting there observing.  Late in the season I finally decided I was ready to take one, needless to say when the time came....I missed...it was a doe at 18 yds.  I rushed the shot and don't even remeber picking a spot.  We still have until the end of February.

Missed 4 from 4, three on the same morning! But had a ball doing it too.

I am declaring myself the winner.
I don't care to talk about it .... I will say that you should never ever ever shoot at anything that you don't want to hit!
I didn't wound any deer or elk; I did make perfect shots on both.
But the number of misses? Well- if anyone beats me; I will relinquish the crown   :notworthy:

Shot over the back on a huge bull elk, and missed a shot on a doe that was looking at me and spun away before the arrow got there. The elk was just panic on my part - no excuses.  The shot on the doe I should have just let down on.
I did make good on two whitetail bucks though, so I had a good season.  Best part was nothing wounded.

Well, I will add to the list, reluctantly...
shot over one doe at 16 yards from a stand, clean miss.  Skinned another in the front leg/brisket area, just some hair, and little blood.  I did manage to actually HIT one, shot a real nice doe with 3 days left in the season.  Hit was just in front of front leg, caught both lungs, and was done in a hundred yards.

I had a slow year and only had one shot. Just as I started drawing my bow on a spike at 10 yds he looked up at me. I forgot to aim low and he ducked my arrow.
