Missed a four point muley at 6yds right below me on a rock cliff.  Should have made the adjustment.  Shot about 2 inches over his back gave me another shot at about 30 yds. didn't take it.

Stag;
Its good to hear there is some archery hunting in Europe.  I was in Germany for 7 yrs 1985-92 and could not bowhunt.

Pinney;
Two two does I missed with 1-2 mintues both flew perfect.  Best I'd seen.  Perfect arrow flight. but wrong spot.

If you wanted to talk about missing deer, you should of asked, How many did you miss last year?
This was my first year of really hunting with my longbow, the year before I took it for a few walks in the woods.  This last year I got a great opportunity to hunt whitetails and well, I missed 12, got 2, but missed 12.  They were clean misses.  Had a blast, the problem was I looked at the whole deer instead of picking a spot.  I learned a lot, espically this, when I pick a spot watch out!

I missed more than I would like to talk about. Total of 3 all were clean misses....

I missed a lot, was 2 for 2 last year (my fist year in trad) and thought this stick bow thing was pretty easy. Well, multiple misses this year and had to fill the freezer late with the big gun. All but one of my misses were high, perfect line, just high. The one miss that wasn't high I hit the top limb on the pop up and missed low. I think the high misses were a combination of deer squatting at the sound of the release and me not picking a spot low enough (or just bad concentration). My spot is now the heart or about an inch back from heart.

Killed a button buck first day of season. Didn't shoot at another deer until Kansas the week of Thanksgiving. Largest buck i've ever seen in the woods. I let him walk by with his nose in a doe's rear at appx 8 steps. My brain just froze looking at him. LOL   I gathered myself after about 20 minutes and had a deflection off of brush when I shot at him at about 23 steps.  A WHOLE LOT OF FUN !!!
Missing is what makes it sweeter when you do it right... At least this is what I tell myself.

Technically, I didn't miss, because the string did not come back to full draw !

It was a nice eight point buck, it was a little too dark to be able to know if I had a clean hit or miss.

So for you and experts out there !  Is this technically a miss, or is this just crying about !

Missed 2, killed 4. One of the misses was on a MONSTER I had been targeting. Total buck fever, I think.

One miss for me this year. A doe 33 yards. shot under her. Now it's time to get ready for Turkeys !!  I think i like hunting them better than deer.

I got 3 does, all under 20 yards, all lung shot. I also missed a spike and a nice 8. must be buck fever. I hate to say it, but i also shot a spike in the shoulder and never found him. myself and 4 friends looked for over 2 days  :banghead:

took one shot- got a doe. Passed a medium rare eight pointer.

Didnt get to spend as much time in the woods this year as I usually do...and missed it.
