My cousin's stone arrow heads

I have a cousin in VT or NH that made these heads.  Can't remeber which state.  Never met him but I would like to.

His name is Tony.  I don't know if you are a member here or not but I sure hope so.  If not you should be.

I would really like to learn how to do this.

I have made myself a knapping kit. I mostly have obsidian but i don't like it because its so brittle and dangerous. Its so dangerous that you have ti make sure to not wipe your face or rub eyes while working with it because it breaks into such small pieces that cling to your skin. If you have antlers then you can make some old-school tools to knap with.

Deer jawbones make for good tools to cut shoulders with.

Hey guys if ya'll need some hard drawn copper for this napping I can get it for nothing and send it to ya, I am a lineman and we still got some around the shop that we don't use anymore. I have seen bones used before but the guys I've seen doing it use small peices of copper in a handle to chip away the edges.  Mike

Sure, ill take some copper. I like to knap outside when its not 105 degrees outside. I mostly use bones, but that copper grips thestone well without wearing out too quickly

It depends on the diameter. Is it like a wire or flat bar?

Its wire its called arking horn wire, anyway its what a few of the guys around here use, its smaller that a 1/4" bolt you can cut it with a pair of 9" klien pliers. Mike
