Just got home from Denton since Wednesday. What a nightmare. Rain, rain, rain & mud, mud, mud. Oh yeah, let's not forget about the tornado and no electricity in the area. So disappointing :(

I had plans to go with my 8 year old daughter, but ended up having to stay here because of work.Even with all the bad weather and mud,I would have loved to been there.

Just got back from going down for just Saturday....a bit sloppy but all in all a good time. Got my wife some stuff she needed and saw a bunch of folks from here. Let me say monkeyball from here gave me some kind of venison Slim Jim type of thing that was just excellent. I was polite and just took one stick.....should have took the whole bag
Thanks Craig. I did notice a few regulars did not come this year....but times are tough all over!

Just got back home as well,I only go down for the afternoon. And I will say that the numbers were low, both in people and vendors. Schafer silvertip, Northern Mist, Morrison, Selway, Tall Tines, Stalker, to name a few were not there this year.It is becomming more like a Flea market. I saw a lady in one of the big tents selling pottery???? Give me a break. No real deals there as well.

Took off Friday from work and drove 4 hours. Set up camp by 3:30. Me and my son walked down and bought some things from the vendors. Went back to camp made some burgers and dogs. Then walked down to get some warm up shots going. Lady comes over and tells us that a storm with up to 60mph. winds will be on us in 20 minutes. Staying in a tent staked down to ground that I could barely get a stake into, we decided to pull it down and leave. Got back home at 1:00am. Never firing a shot. Didn't have the lift going. Thank goodness, cause I'd been heading up the mountain when the storm hit! This year is the last time I'll go to Denton. Don't have the facilities to handle that many shooters. Next year I'll try out Sawmill. Hopefully I won't drag the monsoon with me!
