Any fellow Arkansas trad shooters?
« on: July 29, 2012, 08:41:00 PM »
I'm living in Conway while finishing my master's degree and only know of one other traditional archer in the area.  Fortunately, he is one of my best friends and I introduced him to the sport.  I was just wondering if there were other guys in the area into traditional bows as well.

Hey Garrett I live just 6 miles out of Conway. I'm in town most every day. Give me a shout sometime. I shoot here at my house almost every day now in prep for a elk hunt in sept.  In fact I just got in from shooting.  I'm also an ARROW participant like PAC, lots of good guys there.

Hey partner. I live in Wooster and pretty much shoot every day. The heat has slowed me down some. I usually just wait until 7pm or later and then shoot till dark. Just got in from shooting as a matter of fact.

I used to live in conway going to uca.  Terribly boring place. There is a small little range by conway lake.

Turk, check out the link on Pac's post a couple above mine. We've done it for the last 2 years and had a great time.

Are you talking about the range ran by Camp Robinson with bags at 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 yards right before you get to the public firing range or another place closer to the lake?

Conway is fairly boring.

Sounds good.  Shoot me an e-mail and maybe we can see what critters we can get stirred up.

No booze=boring.

Yeah, that's the place. Nothing fancy.

There is also a 3d archery setup at an archery shop outside  of conway heading towards vilonia. Forget the name. I think its something like ten ring archery or something. Its on a farm.

The Traditional bowhunters of Arkansas host  three 3D shoots a year at the mayflower range. They are usually really good shoots. June is the 2 day shoot with 40 targets. I think the next one is in september.

Hey Garrett. I live in Maumelle so I'm only about 20 min away from Conway.  I go to the shooting range at Mayflower and shoot about 3 days a week.  Send me a PM and I'd be glad to give you a shout next time before I go shoot.
