My new (to me) Morrison Dakota
« on: August 01, 2012, 11:09:00 AM »
Well, I recently purchased a 62" Morrison Dakota that draws 52# @ 28" from Longbow917 on here.

It is quiet, smooth, accurate, and most of all gorgeous. The skins look unreal in person.  It has bamboo cores, yew face veneer, and kudu tips.

I haven't shot all the bows out there, but from what I have shot so far this Morrison is the smoothest, quietest longbow that I have shot. And it just fits perfectly in the hand.

Thanks again Don.

Here are a few pictures for the Morrison fans on here.

I too have a Dakota and agree with Sam's remarks above--a great bow in all respects.

Good looking is nice, but Morrisons wouldn't be so popular if they weren't great shooting bows.

Really Sweet, gotta love those 1-piece bows, Just an FYI, For you 1-piece lovers out there, Bob is planning on re-introducing the Dakota, this time around with his MAX-2 HIgh Performance limbs.  Should be something special, of course you'll have to get in line behind me..RW    :goldtooth:

I see alot of similarities between your bow and mine.  I really like the finger grooves on yours.  Mine has the kudu tips instead of antler.

Sam- Just a little fyi, I bought an old glass blackhawk longbow when I was 14 at a garage sale.  My 13 year old was shooting it before I got him his maddog and I shot all kinds of rabbits, birds, whatever with it when I was a kid.  I sent that bow to Bob to have him duplicate the handle because I liked it so much, nice palm swell and small throat.  It fit my hand really well too!!  You are probably shooting flies out of the air with it by now!    :jumper:
