40+ years later

This summer, I had to make a short visit to the old Europe for my niece's wedding being her godfather.

I made a few phone calls and was allowed to spend a few hours on a property where I spent my summers as a little boy, making bows from hazelnut wood and packaging string. Then I was hunting rabbits and partridge and had a ball, although I didn't kill much!  ;)

It was very emotional for me to shoot an arrow there so many years later

You can go home in some ways....I did the same a couple years ago and walking the fields where you spent your boyhood is very special....thought provoking.
