Come on Fall!!!
« on: August 04, 2012, 04:53:00 PM »
I definitely have the summertime blues. Myself and some of the guys in our archery club from church volunteered to help move a church member's brother today. I have to tell you I have  not been that hot in a LONG time. The humidity is around 80% and the temps still going near 100. I pray everyday for the morning I wake up and all the windows in my house are not fogged up due to the temps finally falling. I will take each day I get and thank God for them, but just can't wait for some cool weather. Hang in their folks,it's coming. God Bless us all.  :knothead:

Nothing like that first morning when you walk outside and breath in "that smell". Then you know it's coming.

I am sick of this heat&humidity up Michigan way as well. I feel bad for you folks in the heartland, and south and west of me. When I think I have it so bad,I think of you folks. I truly hope you all get some needed rain, and cooler temps very soon. rat'

It never fails.  Each and every year there is a day I wake up and head outside to get in my car to head to work.
As I step out, on that blessed morning, there is the faintest change that I can perceive.
That change, though, slaps me in the face and makes me realize that fall is coming and hunting season is right behind it.
I look forward to that single day of the year as much as I do to the first day of season.

Then comes the first frost, now that will be a welcome sight, helps cut down on tics and chiggars tremendously also!!!But one thing cold drives out is wooves, I always dislike them in any critter I shoot.

I'll keep summer for a while. When winter comes, I pray for summer. 8-9 months with a little or alot of snow on the ground is not fun.

It was so hot and humid here Saturday that I didn't go to an annual Ribfest. Now that's hot.
C'mon cold weather.

I'm with you. It happens every year, that one day when I realize that I hate summer! No hunting, no football and hot weather...yuck!
When a hunter is in a tree stand with high moral values and
with the proper hunting ethics and richer for the experience, that hunter is 20
feet closer to God.
