Blood Tracking Water Dog! Pics added.
« on: August 06, 2007, 05:22:00 PM »
They say your blood tracking dog should be comfortable in/near the water. Took Fred to the river with us this weekend. He was making the Labs jealous with his water retrieves on a rubber chicken! He even swam out to the dock you see in the background with me. Hope this works, CKruse

He is a Wirehaired Dachshund from Germany. I imported him last fall. I actually got to tag along on a hunt for boar and roe deer with some of his relatives. He is coming along nicely with his training. This was his first real swimming adventure. He had been around water, but not really deep. He swims like an otter! I will post a good picture later. Thanks for looking, CKruse

My WHD loves the water. She will stay out in the creek chasing crayfish and minnows from morning till dark.

She swims across the pond too.
