The wife did well today!!
« on: August 05, 2012, 01:23:00 PM »
Well I mentioned that I got my wife a bow and she was going to go stumping with me. Well today I got her out to her first 3/D shoot. A local 30 target course that I went to with Cyclic-Rivers and his wife. Well I was as proud as could be when we finished and my wife had shot a 172 with only 5 misses.....for her first time ever. She shot her own Bear Kodiak Hunter [1976] 35# @ 28, with 2114 Alum. arrows. No arrows lost or bent or broke either. And the best part....she said she liked it!   :biglaugh:    :biglaugh:

Congrats to her, now you can buy extra hunting gear and say she can borrow it to...LOL

I'm glad you have a new shooting partner. It is nice to share a hobby with the ones we love.

My wife has more natural shooting skill than I will ever have but doesn't appreciate it. She shoots a 3d shoot every now and then and hunts some years. I try not to push it but love when she goes.

P.S.  A wife hunting and shooting is way more expensive than your buddy down the street with his own stuff.  :D

Ya know Ron, I think a recount is in order. The way she was shooting,  I think maybe she had won.

Fortunately my wife didn't keep score so I think she beat me

Aside from the heat and humidity, it was  a great shoot.  glad we came off the course minutes before the rain.
Relax,

Next time I'll keep score    ;)

Becka had a great time but the heat was getting to her. I liked your after shoot activities better than ours, next time I am going home with you.

I am happy Denise came along!

Congrats to you and especially your wife.  That is a super score for a first 3D!
