Whats your arrow setup for your 45lb rec

Hello ,IM looking to try carbon shafting for a 45lb 60in boblee rec.i draw 28in and like to use a 150 gr tip.i would like to use a atleast a 29in shaft .i have been using cx150 in a 53lb bow and like the cx shafting .the 150 is too stiff.lets hear your arrow setup for your 45+/-

The 150 will be perfect for your setup. Also note: in my experience Bob Lee bows tolerate a wide range of arrow shafting due to their design. The other shaft you might consider (although pricey) is the GrizzlyStik Sitka from Alaska Bowhunting Supply. Heavier for hunting and tapered, very strong.

I shoot a 45 pound recurve and draw around 27 1/2 inches. A GT 1535 Trad (.600) spine, 29 inches long with 175 grain point bareshaft tunes perfect for me. I use the GT 3555 (.500) spine shafts in my 50+ pound bows.

47# CX heritage 150 29" 50 gr. brass insert and 125 point. Shoots perfect with feathers or bare for me.

I shoot a Beman 500 ICS hunter 30" shaft with 100 grain insert and 150gr tip. This is out of my Dalaa 15"DX5 riser and #45 recurve limbs. My draw length is 28"

Shooting Gold Tip 3533 cut to 29 1/4" w/ 50gr brass insert and 175gr broad head. Out of a 45@28 Leon Stewart one piece recurve. My draw is 28".
Do you have any full length shafts to try w/ 150 points? Or how about a 50 or 100 grain brass insert?

44# recurve. I'm shooting GT 5575's, cut to 30", 50gr brass insert, 145gr point, 2" aluminum footing up front and .5" footing on the nock end, with 4 4" feathers and they are flying like darts.

I know you are looking for carbon stats but if you consider wood, I shoot a 31 inch 50-55 or 55-60 wood shaft with 125-130 up front.

Kanati longbow 45#@26". I use GT 3555@27" 100 grain brass inserts with 200 grain Muzzy Phantom 2 blades.

Put some 65 grain brass inserts in those 150's and you'll get them flexing enough at 30" length.  kirk

That is the combo I came up with on Stu's calculator, I have a 45lb Predator that I need something for next year. You could forget about the inserts and just use heavy tips (160's) and get them to work, the weight comes in around 10 grains per lb. Most carbon come too light or too heavy for that weight, IMHO.
