Goin back to a Bear
« on: August 08, 2012, 02:18:00 PM »
I've been wondering the past few years shooting things with my longbows and have decided to go back to my roots and get me another Bear T.D.  I found a wood handled one with new 70# limbs and I can't wait!  How many Bear T.D. shooters are out there?  Let's see some pics!

I have 4 of them -- 3 set up for hunting right now and one ready for restoring. And I think they are great bows, especially with Rose Oak limbs. Just got in the house after shooting a greenstripe with Rose Oak limbs -- 51# at 29" and FAST.
Here is the greenstripe.

Hey Joe, looks like that picture was made at one of our club shoots. And, in better shooting weather than we had last weekend. Man, the last couple shoots have been HOT!!

Big Ed - how bout a review on that 64" kodiak when you get it, I've always wanted a SK and have been checking them out.  I love the green glass one.

I went back to my recurve roots about 3 months ago after 28 years of longbows. I shoot several different bows and went for the 60" SK. It has everything I need, smooth draw, good speed, handles heavy arrows, and is very accurate in my hands, when I do everything right. I'm glad I made the switch. My plans are to try the takedown in the spring so I'm reading this thread with that in mind.
