Osprey by CHad Holm is tough to beat for the money. He makes a fast quiet bow that shoots VERY well. I haven't shot them all, but I have shot quite a few and I really like his bows.

If I didn't, I wouldn't own 5 of them!
I had a really good group going... until I shot the second arrow.

My best bows are the ones someone else didn't want.

im actually planning a custom from him to go with my current omega,  phenoilic 2 piece take down with curly maple limbs 47# @ 27". I want the same limb material he uses now because its got power.    He will do them but they will cost more cash. hoping I can order this next year because I LOVE his design and they work for me.

Holm-Made Osprey is my go to bow! It fits your hand, fast, quiet, and deadly accurate. Buy one and you don't have to look any more. I shoot 45# at my draw and CX H150 at 570 grains. Ken Denton

I just piled them in at 20 yards with my 46#@28" Longwalker from TwoTracks. Compare his prices and reviews against the others. You should be impressed!

May as well take a close look at Thunderstick bows too. The MOAB is my favorite, but more money than you are looking to spend. Some great deals on most of the bows mentioned above here in the TradGang classifieds! Good luck in your "bow" hunt! Mike

Not sure what your wallet can afford but I have been shooting a Morrison Shawnee longbow for several years now and can't see myself hunting with anything else.  I "play" with other bows, but when it comes to putting meat on the table, my Morrison is always in my hand.  They really are killers for sure.. ~Steve

For the money, if price is the main factor, the Omega as stated is about $235 plus shipping, his bows are plain but they are smooth a fast, You can get a Bama Expedition Hunter for about $479 very smooth and is available in 58in to 62in Models! I own a Expi very smooth shooting R/D longbow!

I like quiet bows with no hand shock...that's why I shoot Big River Longbows! JMO....no matter what the cost I think they are the best bow out there, I would put them up against any $1000 bow thats made today, and the BR's are half the cost! Once again thats just my opinion!

Not just your opinion Joe.  Another Big River fan here.  My go-to, when I have to make the shot, is one of my Big River R/D's or the smoothest Hill style bow I have ever shot - also a Big River.
