Dalaa riser with Dryad or Morrison limbs?
« on: August 10, 2012, 12:35:00 PM »
I have a 17" Dalaa and would like to hear from some of you who have added  the Dryad ACS recurve limbs or Morrison's new Max limbs to your Dalaa risers.

If you are shooting these limbs on another riser , you can chime in as well.

Let's see some pics if you have them.

Both taken with 17" Dalaa riser & Dryad ACS recurve limbs.  Bob's would also be excellent on your riser.

I use dryad epics on my titan riser and they are awsome, very smooth draw and whip on arrow out there. I really want to try the ACS recurve limbs someday

John, Do you happen to Know specifics of the equipment - arrow weight, bow weight, grains per inch etc. That pretty impressive!
I also have the Dalaa riser, that fits me great, and I also thought about putting your recurve limbs on my riser.

Thanks in advance!

Kevin,
Yes I know everything about that bow because I was the one using it.  It drew 49# at 30", or about 51# at my 31" draw.  The arrows were 725 grains total weight, consisting of .300-deflection Easton FMJ shafts with 75-grain steel BH inserts inside of 225-grain Tuffhead broadheads.  Cut ribs on both sides and easily went through the animals.

How long was your bow John? Curious because of your long draw.

David,

My bow was 63" AMO because it needed a string that was 60" in actual length.  Equipped with XL limbs on the 17" Dalaa riser it's very, very smooth out to at least 32".

I'd love to sell you a set of our limbs but I'd be remiss in not saying once again for the record that Bob Morrison is a friend and makes a heck of a nice limb.  So while he doesn't look exactly like Brad Pitt (like I do) he's a great guy and makes very good equipment too.

I wasn't trying to compare the two really just seeing who was using them with the Dalaa riser.  Bob's new max  limbs are the Only recurve that he makes that I haven't already owned 2 or three of.  I'm sure I'll get a set eventually.  I once owned the original Orion series recurve and it sold me on static tips forever. Just bought a new series Orion with the static tips from a fellow ganger here.  And will ordèr a set of ACS RC limbs for it if we get along.

Love the pic of the beast John.  The sky behind you looks wild!
