50@28 Bear Grizzly, arrow help

Howdy Gang!
First post, I'm just starting the trad journey.  I have been reading and searching the site a ton, but am hoping for some specific help.

I recently purchased a used bear grizzly that is a couple years old.  It is 50 pounds at 28 inches.  I'm trying to narrow down where i should start for arrows.  Obviously price is a concern, i may end up watching for used aluminums on the classified section.......

I draw 28.5 inches.  Looking at the calculator it appears 2020's or 2115's could work depending on the point weight.

Does anyone have any experience with this bow at this draw and can recommend an arrow setup that tunes well for them?

My other thought is to splurge and try a half dozen of the arrow dynamics since it sounds like they are easy to tune, and any given arrow is more likely to tolerate a wider range of bow setups.  Thoughts?  Could I get good arrow flight sooner (less headache) with the arrow dynamics seeing as I have no trad tuning experience?  If i went the AD route, would i need the trad lites?

I can't help with aluminum, but if you can get some 30" Heritage 150's and some 175's or 200's you ought to be pretty close.

I have a Super Grizzly 50@28 and draw about the same as you.

GT Trad 35/55s full length and 175 up front w/factory insert is what I use. I shoot off a wool rug pad and have a thin leather side plate.

I have yarn puffs on a 12 strand Dacron B55 flemish twist string. I also have yarn wrapped on the part of the string that rests against the limbs while the bow is strung but at rest. This is a quiet and accurate setup for me.

The GT3555 recommendation sounds good.  Not sure on aluminiums.  Contact Magnus if you want woods that will fly well from it.

On a 45 lb Grizzly I owned I used 2016s with 145 up front cut to 29".  Flew great.

I have a 1970 Grizzly at 48# @28"DL and it likes 2016's and 2018's both with at least 145 grains up front.

2016 w/125 or 145gr points.  I shoot 50-53# at 28.5" and this setup works great for me.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.  It sounds like 2016 and/or 2018 might be a good spot to start for aluminum.

Any feedback on the arrow dynamics arrows?  Do they really tolerate a wide range of bow setups?  It sounds like they could be easier to tune.....or is it just hype?  I guess i'm excited to try trad and would like to minimize the startup headaches, if it would be easier to get the arrow dynamics shooting well i'd be willing to spend some extra to hit the ground running.

Rock- In my experience with similar bows, the 2016 or 2018 will work great.

I'll be using a 51#@29" bow this season with full length AD lites with 125 eskimos with long aluminum inserts. They hit where I look and hope to put 1 or 2 in the freezer. The AD's are easy to tune but are expensive although you might pick up a 1/2 doz. for reasonable price.

I've had pretty good luck with 29" 2115's and 125gr tips out of my #50 recurves. I draw 28". I use 28.5" 2016's for my #51 and #53 longbows and they fly great.

2016, 2018, 2114 one or all should work.

Carbon=3555.

If you should try the arrow dynamics remember they are tapered (small at nock end and bigger at point end) so you cut at the point end only.

I just bareshafted 2 recurves tonight they both appear to be cut to center or past but not for sure,my draw is 29" the pearson colt pulls about 47# at my draw length, 30" 2018's with 175 up front stuck in straight and grouped with fletched shafts. The takedown recurve pulls about 51# and 30" 2018's had to go with 125 up front for about the same results.anything over 55# with aluminum I have good luck with 2117's, good luck.
