Carrying a longbow on a bike

I see this subject coming up occasionally so took some pics of my rig. Not a bicycle but this might give you some ideas if you want to take your longbow on either a bicycle or a trail bike/Rokon. 3" ID., PVC tube with end caps. One glued on and the other pinned in place with a homemade pin. I also glued some foam in the caps for further protection. I also had to sand the tube where the loose end cap goes on as it was too tight. This tube will hold 66" bows and can handle either a D bow or an R/D.

I don't need to carry recurves  - the only one I own is my carp bow. Anyone else having a problem seeing the pics? They came through fine for me.

I can see them. I have been taking a date when I rode my bike...I should have thought about this on my own. She has a hard time holding the longbow on the Panhead, but she can manage on the Rocket III. I can't let her see this photo, or she never go with me again.
