Awesome very nice buck!! Deer are going crazy up here in the Oaks. That 8pt I saw first day was spotted by my Cousin this morning. Things are getting good the scrapes and rubs im finding are very encouraging!

My afternoon hunt was quiet. I had a flock of turkeys making a racket and finally roosting about 60 yards.  I always forget too throw the calls in. Not that it would have done any good in this case but I always remember to forget the dang calls. lol

Way to go Jim, didn't take you long, Silver Springs does it again. Need some of that good shooting down here in Fillmore.

Spent some time in the Bow only area near Albany today. Sat for the mourning in a ground blind on a friends family farm. Saw a few squirrels, not much activity at all. Have not seen a deer yet.

I had a decent hunt. Saw a buck that took off who was working a scrape. Got in my stand and was there about 15mins when a doe worked her way in. She got about 18-20yds and veered to her right I got to full draw but between trees and her trotting speed I passed the shot. Having alot of "almost" oppertunitys but man I wanna get one!
